Coeur d’Alene is located in the northern portion of Idaho and has become a resort town offering many outdoor activities. The winters are chilly and snowy, with a number of ski resorts for winter activities. The region’s snowfall season usually begins in November and continues through March. From mid June through September, Coeur d’Alene can provide some of the best weather, especially near the lakes. Rainfall is the lightest in July and August and temperatures are warm. There are occasional thunderstorms during the summer, but mainly in the late afternoon and evening hours. The wettest period is from November through early June.
